Graduate student organizations within the UC Irvine Samueli School of Engineering provide valuable opportunities for students to build community, develop leadership skills, expand professional networks, and engage with peers who share similar academic and career interests. Whether you are looking to connect socially, participate in research and professional development, advocate for graduate student needs, or explore new interests, these organizations offer a meaningful way to enrich your experience at UCI. The Graduate Association of Biomedical Engineering Students (GABES) aims to foster a strong and connected BME community by bringing together graduate students, faculty, and staff through social, professional development, outreach, and service activities.

Latino ENgINE is dedicated to fostering a thriving and inclusive community for Latinx graduate students pursuing engineering at UCI. We empower individuals to excel academically and personally. The MAE GSA (Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Graduate Student Association) is an organization led by and for MAE graduate students. Our mission is to create opportunities for professional growth, foster a supportive community within the department, and improve the overall culture and climate for MAE grad students.
Through the MAE GSA, we organize both professional and social events, such as workshops, speaker series, hiking adventures, and coffee hours. These activities are designed to help you build connections with fellow students, researchers, and faculty, as well as advance your career. We also aim to be a voice for graduate students in identifying ways to improve the department’s environment.
