MSE Administrative Staff Mission Statement

The UC Irvine Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) administrative team strives to deliver excellence in service and support to the department, the Samueli School of Engineering, the campus and the community. With over 80 years of collective UC experience, we utilize strong collaboration, integrity, and knowledge to motivate, assist, and guide our instructors, faculty, researchers, and students in their academic endeavors.

The MSE administrative team fosters strong partnerships with faculty to provide high-level engagement, to anticipate and meet research support needs, and to inspire and encourage students. We promote an inclusive and safe environment for all and celebrate our diversity. Having a genuine passion for our roles, we seek to welcome and overcome challenges as innovative problem-solvers by being steadfast, flexible, and creative. We aim to serve our constituents and each other with the utmost care and consideration while upholding the standards set by and for the department.
